Words For Your Weekend

I’m going to start a new series. Every Friday, I will have some encouraging words for you to take with you for the weekend. They will be a variety of sayings/passages from various places, but all centered on one theme: living a life for Christ.

On to today’s edition of “words for your weekend!”

boldness

Boldness – being willing and eager to face hardship with a sense of confidence and fearlessness.

Being a Christian doesn’t make a person popular with the world. God gives all that we need to stand up and be counted for Him even if those around us don’t get it or even oppose us.

Psalm 128:3 – When I called, you answered me; you made me bold and stouthearted. (NIV)

“Lord, give me opportunities today that will require boldness on my part- and then give me the boldness to respond to whatever opportunities come my way.”

- This was taken from a day planner made by Bible League of Canada. You can visit their website at www.bibleleague.ca

- I hope that this encourages you to be more bold for Christ and gives you the confidence and desire to continue doing His work even when the world around you is against you.

May God continue to bless you!

Andrea

For the last 12 years I have pretty much had things figured out but this year when my youngest started grade 2, it felt like my whole life tipped over. Now, there wasn't any outward tragedy that I went through, no, it was more of an emotional, internal struggle that has been taking place. Realizing that my family doesn't need me the same way, but they still need me. Having a lot more free time and not knowing how to fill it, actually, to say that I didn't want to do my domestic chores to fill my time would be more accurate. So many decisions were suddenly available to me, decisions I hadn't considered in years. "Do I get a job? Full or part time? What kind of job? Do I go to school - just take some courses or get a degree? What kind of courses/degree? Do we have the money for me to go t...
