‘Fun Days’ of Summer

This week were supposed to get really nice weather again, so I probably wont post much.
This past weekend we had ‘Fun Days’ in my town. There was all kinds of things to keep you busy. Friday evening was community slo-pitch, and a wiener roast after. Saturday was a free pancake breakfast, a slo-pitch tournament all day, bouncers for the kids, face painting, petting zoo, a flea market, a silent auction, evening entertainment, and so much more. It was a busy place to be!
In the morning, we went as a family for breakfast and then my husband went to go help a friend of his, so it was just me and the kids. I took them to the ‘Fun Days’ for lunch and we stayed for a few hours. It was very hot, and they needed naps so we came home and relaxed for the rest of the day.
Here are some pictures from our weekend:

My favourite room in my house

Anyone who knows me personally can agree when I say that my favourite room in my house is my kitchen.                     Not because it’s fancy, which, it’s not.    Not because it’s clean & tidy, which it most often, is not.  Most definitely not because of the great view out my window, which is my neighbours garage. But because that’s the place where I get to create! That is the place where all the ‘magic’ happens. That’s the place where I go from ‘mom’ to ‘magician’ and I can just let my imagination run free! I LOVE,LOVE, LOVE to bake (this is not an exaggeration).  What I also love, is a baking challenge. I have a few friends with restricted diets and I have had the opportunity to bake for them. I have friends that can’t have sugar or dairy and only certain kinds of flour.  This was quite a challenge for me in the beginning, but I have done a lot o...

Lets see how this goes...

Well, I've just started my blog and seeing as how I'm new at this it might take me a few tries before I get the hang of it.    At the end of January my husband and & I decided it was time to add another member to our family. No we were not thinking of having another baby as we already have 2 kids and a dog I have enough to keep me busy. We decided to sponsor a child. This decision involved alot of research into different organizations until we finally settled on Compassion. The reason we picked Compassion was because it takes care of all the other needs of the child but the most important one is that they focus on the teaching of Christ. They work within the local christian church and all the children that are in the Compassion program go to sunday school and are taught about Jesus. This was the most important thing to us.       So, now that we have the organization how do you choose which child? They all need help. I'm a terrible decision maker as...
